Shopping During The Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is so important to keep safe while you are out and shopping, especially while there have so many sales and specials, both online and in store. Here are some of my tips on some of the best ways to shop during social distancing.

1. Online

You can't beat online shopping during this time. You can find some amazing deals online on every website. It is hassle-free and you do not have to worry about coming in contact with people. Keep in mind, processing and shipping times have been taking longer as there is minimum staff in shipping centers at this time. Also, it is important to make sure to always disinfect boxes that come in.

2. Curbside pickup

If you like to online shop but hate waiting for your packages to come in, curbside pickup is the way to go. Many stores that are not open to the public have been offering curbside pickup like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany &Co, and Neiman Marcus. This option is great, especially when you do not want to wait for your packages to ship. I personally like this option as I get impatient and do not like waiting for my packages to come in!

3. Appointment Only

Some stores like the Gucci Outlets are allowing people to come in via appointment only. It gives you time to walk around the store without it being too crowded. It also prevents too many people from being in the store at one time, keeping with social distancing guidelines. It is better to plan out your appointments in advance as it is hard to get same day appointments. If you are planning on going to shop on a certain day, make sure to call and check at your favorite stores if they are allowing walk ins or if they are appointment only.

4. Phone Orders

If you are looking to shop designer goods, most sales associates you know will help place orders for you if you are looking for something not available online and ship it to your home or if there is a store near you, send it for curbside pickup. It is important to make great relationships with your SAs and have a point of contact (POC) so you know when the sales happen or when deliveries come in.

It is important to know that while some states are open, other states have not opened up for in person shopping, such as California. Let me know if you have some tips on how you are shopping during the pandemic and what you have been shopping for during this time!
